Michael Sigman is a communication skills and media trainer, consultant and keynote speaker, specializing in executive and leadership level presence. Michael brings 16-years of experience in broadcasting and news reporting to his communications workshops, coaching and messaging sessions. Michael works extensively with executives in various industries including consumer products, automotive and telecommunications industries.
Over the years Michael developed a specialty in simplifying language and enhancing speaker connectivity. He travels around the country preparing physicians, other professionals and management teams for peer to peer meetings, speeches and reporter interviews.
Executives and subject matter experts of all levels call upon Michael for counsel on leadership communications skills, key message development, speech writing, image polishing, time management, team building, meeting facilitation, platform performance coaching and practical news media interview techniques. In addition to his corporate work, Michael counsels a number of non profit agencies and serves on the board of directors of the Delaware Association of Non-Profit Agencies (DANA).
Michael is also well known as a keynote speaker, workshop leader and meeting facilitator. He serves annually as master of ceremonies at the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year Dinner.
After receiving a B.A. in Radio, Television & Film from Temple University, Michael's broadcast journalism career began in Philadelphia as a news- planner for WCAU-TV, Channel 10. He was an all-news radio anchor and PBS television news producer before taking the anchor chair at Delaware's only television news station, First State News. The program garnered half a dozen Emmy Award nominations during Michael's tenure as News Director. He was also the prime-time evening news anchor for TSM News, an 11-hour a day regional cable news operation in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
Michael is married and has an eleven year old daughter and an eight year old son.
